After looking at the Xbox Series X press photos, I was preparing myself (and my apartment) for a fairly large and annoying console. But, in fact, the Xbox series is far more beautiful than the X pictures, which is why you must believe.

 

Although the console is much larger than its predecessors, the Series X seems to weigh a lot better than previous members of the Xbox family.

 

It may be its slim, dark matte design that makes it somewhat unobtrusive in the home environment. And while it's definitely not a lightweight console, I've found that - whether it's vertically drawn or seated horizontally - the Xbox Series X looks much better than you expected.

 

But this uncontrollable black box makes a lot of cartoons while remaining silent like a whisper.

 

The design of the Xbox Series X is an important departure from its predecessors, with a straight tower design more reminiscent of a gaming PC, although you can also sit the console horizontally.

 

Measuring in at 15.1 cm x 15 cm x 30.1 cm and weighing 4.45 kg (9.8lbs), the tall, cuboid-shaped console is matte with green plus green inside the top cooling vents. Is.

 

The console itself looks quite low. Despite its weight and large size, the symmetrical design of the Series X means that it looks much smaller than its size. I found it easily lowered into my Ikea Kallax  shelving unit (39 cm x 39 cm) when it is either horizontal or vertical oriented - and easily blends in with its surroundings. However, it is worth noting that you will need to leave some space at the top of the cooling points.

 

Overall, the Xbox Series X is an incredibly black cowboy and a welcome change from the light of the Xbox past. It's sleek, modern and mature. However, this matte black design means that - while the Series XF is not dirty - it is easily scratched and scratched.

 

Silent weapon

 

Perhaps the biggest design feature of the Xbox Series X is how unexpectedly silent it is. We've almost become accustomed to reviving consoles as if they're just playing a game that actually speeds it up.

 

But the Xbox Series X is a great Xbox that made me happy to play. When on the home screen, the console puts the sound around 30dB - it's about the audio level of the whisper. And it changes very little when you actually load and play the game. When a pirate from the sea, a human ski and a player playing an unfamiliar battlefield, I found that decibels never exceeded 33 dB. However, when doing a major update, I was able to record sound levels up to 45 dB. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person.

 

While this may not be the case with the next-generation title, which unfortunately I haven't had a chance to test yet, it's still a good sign for a packing console with such incredible power.

 

This is likely the result of the implementation of SSD in the Xbox Series X, which is quieter because it is not as mechanical as HDDs. This is good news for those who do not want their gameplay to be hindered by the movement of a struggling machine.

 

But with that silence comes a lot of warmth. And, when it comes to heat dissipation, the Xbox Series X seems to be the equivalent of the Xbox One. The heat comes from the cooling vents above, for which I suggest plenty of space. The console itself gets tasty, and it can be a hassle if it affects performance when running more titles for the next genie. However, it is worth noting that this is not the final version of the Xbox Series X, which may prevent better heat control.

 

Modern design for the modern age

 

The Xbox Series X looks like a tank, refrigerator or machine, but I like it. While this isn't exactly the kind of console you'd like to move around (rip my back), it does prove that when it comes to console design, sometimes even less.

 

The design of the Xbox Series X is minimal and rude. I, for one, welcome the change in design that moves Microsoft to a more solid and future design.

 

Although the console is really big, consider what it's packing, it's surprisingly quiet - even if it still runs a bit of a test for our tastes.
